Veelaashinee Nagapa Chetty

Veelaashinee has over 7 years of audit experience having worked at KPMG Mauritius and Baker Tilly.

During the course of her career, Veelaashinee has worked on several major audit assignments with wide industry coverage which includes offshore trading, listed investments, private equity companies including valuations (quoted and unquoted), investment funds including Cayman funds, offshore management companies, investment advisors and investment companies (including group audits). She has also led audit engagements for listed clients in Mauritius and Africa. She has worked on clients operating in various industries, including financial services, hospitality, manufacturing, not-for-profit organisations, retail, real estate, shipping, and telecommunications.

Veelaashinee has also gained extensive experience in the area of IFRS and US GAAP, including accounting during her professional career. She has led technical assignments such as IFRS 9 assessment and Anti-Money Laundering and Combatting the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) assignments.

Veelaashinee holds a BCom in Accounting and Finance from Curtin University. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants (MIPA).
