ECOVIS International is a new member of the Forum of Firms
Berlin, Munich, January 1st, 2019: ECOVIS International is a new member of the Forum of Firms starting January 2019. The Forum of Firms is an independent association of international networks of firms that perform transnational audits. The membership illustrates ECOVIS International’s further commitment to audit quality and opens up new opportunities for the partners of ECOVIS International in more than 70 countries.
As a new member of the Forum of Firms (Forum), ECOVIS International will be part of a recognized independent association of international networks of firms that perform transnational audits worldwide. Together with other Forum member networks ECOVIS International is confirmed as having policies and methodologies with respect to transnational audits that are:
- based, to the extent practicable, on International Standards on Auditing;
- conform to the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants’ International Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants and national codes of ethics; and
- maintain appropriate quality control standards in accordance with International Standards on Quality Control in addition to relevant national standards.
Forum members also confirm that they conduct, to the extent not prohibited by national regulation, regular globally coordinated internal quality assurance reviews. “Being part of the Forum of Firms is a further testament of our commitment to audit quality”, says Carmen Vasile. Ms. Vasile is an auditor and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at ECOVIS Romania SRL and member of the ECOVIS International Management Board.
To join the Forum of Firms ECOVIS International followed the Forum’s membership process demonstrating commitment to the Forum’s membership obligations that support of audit quality. “For our ECOVIS International partners in more than 70 countries the membership opens up great opportunities”, says Armin Weber, chartered accountant, tax consultant and head of the Munich audit headquarters of Ecovis.
The Forum is another step forward for ECOVIS International in demonstrating both its further commitment to audit quality and its goal to combine personal advice at a local level with the general expertise of an international and interdisciplinary network of professionals.
