Workcation in Shanghai – Jing Bi from Ecovis in London

Jing is a Senior Financial and Accounting Technician at ECOVIS Wingrave Yeats in London, UK. In September 2023, Jing did a 4 day workcation at ECOVIS Ruide Shanghai.

What motivated you to choose a workcation?

I hadn’t been back to China for 3 years due to Covid-19 so wanted to go back for a longer time, however I joined Ecovis half way through the year so my annual leave allowance was low. I then realised there was an Ecovis Shanghai office, which is the city I am from.

Did you feel productive during your workcation, ie did you get much work done?

I felt productive as I was working during the nighttime of UK and then would catch up on the morning of UK time with people to wrap up my day of work.

Did you have any networking opportunities during your workcation?

Yes, I had some networking opportunities with the Ecovis China team. They are all very nice and helped me to settle in, even though I was only there for 4 days.

How did the workcation experience contribute to your overall well-being and work-life balance?

It helped with my overall wellbeing as I got to spend more time with my family and have loads of home cooking, especially after being away from home for 3 years due to Covid!
