Richard Hoffmann speaks at the event “Opportunities in China — Matchmaking for companies in the field of biomedicine and cooperation in the area of the medical technologies”

The Investment Promotion Agency of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (CIPA), together with the Administrative Committee of Tianjin Wuqing Development Zone and the Management Committee of Nanchang Hi-Tech Development Zone invited a delegation of companies and institutions especially from China and Germany to the opening event “Matchmaking for companies in the field of biomedicine and cooperation in the area of medical technologies” of the event series “Opportunities in China” in Frankfurt on 16th September 2015. Mr. Hoffman was one of the guest Speakers.

After the speeches by Ms. Lin Xu, Consul of the Economic Department of the Consulate General of the PRC in Frankfurt and Mr. Jörg von Netzer of BVMW (The German Association for Small and Medium-sized Businesses), the presentations of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry Innovation Consulting Hessen and the Development Zones in Nanchang and Tianjing, Mr. Hoffmann talked about the topic “Partner selection and risk control of German companies in the biomedical sector”.

Biomedicine and medical technology are one of the most promising industries for the future in China. The bilateral communication and cooperation in innovation, research, development and production in the field of biomedicine will be strongly promoted in the future in light of the “Made in China 2025” and “Industry 4.0 Germany” scheme. At the same time, great attention should be given to the legal and financial issues in both of the two countries, when it comes to bilateral collaboration.
