Sohel Kasem trained with Coopers & Lybrand in London and qualified from ICAEW in 1981. Partner of the firm since 1982. He has been the President of ICAB in 2004. He was a Partner of EY Global from January, 2015 until February, 2021.
Sohel has been an elected Councillor of ICAB since 1994. Active involvement in policy making role in Technical & Research, IAS & ISA adoption, Board of Studies, Professional Development, etc.
Specialises in Banks and Financial Institution Audits, International Tax and Foreign Investment Advisory. His portfolio includes the Central Bank, many large commercial banks, multilateral agencies and multinational companies.
